The Calgary Community Painters Society was established in by a small group of local artists for the purpose of exchanging artistic ideas, providing artistic support for each other and holding an education-based program. Over the years the Calgary Community Painters Society has grown to a current membership of 80 independent Calgary artists.

      The Alberta Society of Artists invites all Juried,Life, Student, Associate Members and members of the public to participate in the open themed exhibition, “Large Works.” OVERVIEW The purpose of this exhibition is to showcase only larger artworks as the ASA typically only exhibits smaller works and rarely exhibits 3D works. Landscape Artists in Alberta. Canadian landscape artists create art that is as varied and astounding as Canada's landscape itself. The rain forests and snow capped peaks of the west, the rolling fields of the prairies, or the crisp boreal leaves of the east: this art is truly Canadian.

      The Alberta Society of Artists invited submissions from all Alberta Artists that addressed any issues and phenomena or other related insights regarding the theme, AIR. AIR is part of the Alberta Society of Artists' exhibition series based upon the four thematic elements Fire, Water, Air and Earth. The Alberta Society of Artists invites all Alberta artists (18 years of age or older) to participate in the exhibition, AIR. Pollution, ozone degradation, social issues relating to public health and environmental effects of air quality. A mixture of nitrogen, oxygen, and minute amounts of other gases that surround the earth and form its atmosphere.
